External integrations to get more out of Kanau.

Claude Integration (MCP)

Kanau paid plan subscribers can connect Claude (Anthropic’s AI) to manage projects and items through natural conversation.

What you can do

  • List, create, and update projects
  • Add, edit, delete, and sort items
  • Automatic price and time calculations
  • Manage tags
  • Cross-project summaries (total costs, etc.)

For example, you can say “Add this product URL to my ‘Wishlist’ project” or “Sort items by longest work time” to control Kanau naturally.

How to connect

You can connect from Claude’s web version or mobile app (claude.ai).

1. Open Claude Settings

Sign in to claude.ai and open Settings from the account menu at the bottom left.

2. Select Integrations

In Settings, select Integrations and click Add more.

3. Add the Kanau MCP connector

Choose “Add custom MCP connector” and enter the following:

Name Kanau (any name you like)
Server URL https://mcp.kanau.app/mcp

Click Add when done.

4. Log in with your Kanau account

An authorization page will open. Log in with the same account you use in the Kanau app (Google, Apple, or email).

5. Done

Once connected, you can read and write your Kanau data through conversations with Claude.

Notes

  • This feature is included in Kanau’s paid plan at no extra charge.
  • A separate Anthropic account is required to use Claude (claude.ai).
  • To disconnect, remove Kanau from Claude’s Settings → Integrations.
  • AI responses may not always be accurate. Please verify important operations in the Kanau app.

Bookmarklet

Add a button to your browser’s bookmark bar to save any web page to Kanau with one click. The page title and URL are filled in automatically.

Setup (Desktop)

  1. Drag and drop the link below to your bookmark bar

    📌 Save to Kanau

  2. Navigate to a web page you want to save, then click “Save to Kanau” in your bookmark bar

  3. The Kanau save screen opens — select a project and save

Setup (iPhone / iPad)

  1. Open this page in Safari
  2. Long-press the “📌 Save to Kanau” link above and select “Copy”
  3. Bookmark any page in Safari
  4. Edit the bookmark and replace the URL with what you copied
  5. Navigate to a web page you want to save, then tap “Save to Kanau” from your bookmarks

Notes

  • You must be logged in to Kanau (Web version)
  • The page title and URL are filled in automatically. You can add price and images manually on the save screen

Share from iOS Apps

On iPhone and iPad, you can save content to Kanau using the system share menu from Safari and other apps. The page title, URL, image, and price are captured automatically.

How to use

  1. Tap the share button (□↑) in Safari or a compatible app
  2. Select Kanau from the share menu
  3. The Kanau app opens with the page information pre-filled
  4. Select a project and save

If Kanau doesn’t appear in the share menu

  1. Tap “More” at the far right of the share menu
  2. Turn on Kanau in the app list

Notes

  • The Kanau iOS app must be installed
  • You must be logged in
  • Automatic price extraction works only when the page includes structured data (og:price, etc.)
  • Image extraction is best-effort — it may not work on all sites
